RUN
If a gunman enters an open facility with multiple entrances and exits, like LaRose Student Center, immediately run to the nearest exit in the opposite direction of the perceived threat. If possible, try an exit that is not in the gunman’s direct line of sight.
FIGHT
If you are near the gunman when they enter LaRose Student Center, and are physically able, surprise them as they open the door. Choose a staging point for your attack that is out of the gunman’s view. If you have time, choose a light makeshift weapon that you can wield easily. If this is not possible, target the shooter's eyes, throat or groin. Keep the barrel of the gun pointed away from you or fleeing individuals at all costs.
HIDE
If there is an active shooter in LaRose Student Center, do not use the elevator. Hiding in the elevator would limit possible escape routes which would make you an easy target for the gunman. The noise from the elevator may alert the gunman and lead them to your location.
